Amelia - 9 Months

Length: 28 inches (93%)
Weight: 20 lb (75%)
Appearance: She's growing like crazy! She fits in 12-18 month clothes easily and has certainly outgrown the baby sections. (Her Christmas jimmies were 24 months!) Her eyes have stayed BLUE! YAY, and man are they gorgeous. Her eyelashes are long and her skin is butter smooth. She's still so chunky and I know that baby chub won't last long.
Firsts: First time crawling! First Christmas, first time eating eggs, cheese, yogurt. Big kid food basically. First time sleeping through the night! (don't get excited it only happened once unfortunately.) Here's hoping she makes a habit of sleeping longer.
Personality:  Amelia is on the move man. She has learned to crawl and now wants to check out everything. She ruins Lucy's life by wrecking whatever tower, dollhouse creation, or pretend picnic she's made. Amelia adores eating and certainly lets you know if she's missed a meal. She only nurses 4 times a day, all occurring right before sleeping. She laughs when you ask her to say "Mama, or Dada." She loves riding in the car and in the stroller. She also loves being in the front carrier, sure to fall asleep right on my chest. She is super attached to her lovey and buries her face in it, which is quite possibly the cutest thing ever.
How Mama is Feeling: I'm having a bit of a hard time grasping that my baby will only be a baby for a couple more months! Where the hell has the time gone? Although I am eagerly planning her first birthday. I see bits of sassy-ness starting to peak through my sweet baby and I'm thinking stay a baby for a few months longer please! But in actuality I adore seeing her crawling and exploring the world more. Each next phase is more exciting than the last and I just can't wait to see what type of little person she turns into. She's beyond perfect.
What I've learned as a mom: I've learned that I can do just about anything one handed with a baby on my hip. I've learned to pick up toys only twice a day, and to let the dogs clean the floor. I've come to understand that the play room is in fact the coolest place in the house to be. My day to day can be a little mundane but I wouldn't ever change a thing. I'm literally the luckiest to be able to see every single thing that my children do each day. These moments are so incredibly fleeting and I get to witness the good, the bad, the ugly, and the cuddly.
