A girl can dream..

Every little girl dreams about the magical day where they get to walk down the aisle surrounded by family and friends and marry the person of their dreams. I was lucky enough to do this twice.. to the same man of course! Matt and my initial wedding was at a sweet little chapel just months after getting engaged. We were both 22 years old and head over heels to start our lives together. Our parents and siblings were the only one in attendance and it was so wonderful. I wore my mother's wedding gown and it rained like hell that day. I didn't fuss over my make-up or hair and actually forgot his wedding ring while standing at the alter before we took our vows. It was simple, sweet, and  authentic. Our "first" wedding was wonderful.

We then got married just shy of a year later with a huge gathering. We had over 140 people travel far and wide to celebrate Matt and I sharing a life together. It was the princess wedding of my dreams. From the gown to the food, flowers, table settings.. everything was over the top and every detail I'd ever imagined came true. (HUGE thanks to my parents) We had the most epic pre wedding party (thanks to my in-laws!) Most girls aren't lucky enough to have both visions come true. Lucy has been begging to see my wedding gown, so when I pulled it out and told her she could put it on she just about screeched with excitement. I put Amelia in the gown my mother wore on her wedding day and Lucy in my gown from the July wedding. It's so hard to believe Matt and I have been married six years.
