Golden Milk Tea

I've seen this drink all over social media and Pinterest and really never found it appealing.. until I researched the benefits of turmeric. I mean seriously, turmeric is incredible for dozens of reasons.



Just a few quick benefits include:
It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and it increases brain function. Turmeric also fights degenerative processes in the brain and lowers the risk of brain disease. It can help with arthritis, lower your risk for heart disease, and even eliminating symptoms of depression. It's also a great boost when you are feeling under the weather.  I mean what more could you want!

This is the quick easy recipe I like to follow:

Ingredients:
3/4 tsp turmeric
1 cup of milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
1 tsp honey
1/4 tsp black pepper

Preparation:
Mix together ingredients all the ingredients and bring to a boil. Allow ingredients to simmer for 3 ish minutes or so. Remove from stove pour and drink while warm.
